International Biomass Development Specialist

Your Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop international biomass sourcing and trading opportunities for Uniper's customers and projects.
  • Develop and execute global sourcing and trading partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a strong global network of biomass suppliers, consumers, freight and logistics partners, and service providers.
  • Provide strategic, analytical, and commercial support to Uniper's projects and partnerships.
  • Utilize and further develop all necessary trading tools, limits, reporting, and position and risk management tools.
  • Formulate and execute a detailed annual international biomass business development plan as part of the overall Uniper biomass strategy.
  • Produce clear reports on market developments, deal and partnership opportunities, price forecasts, and risks.
  • Support teams on international biomass-related topics and requirements and cooperate with relevant departments and consultants in and outside Uniper.
  • Work with stakeholder teams to support Government-, NGO-, and other stakeholder-discussions.
  • Represent Uniper in (inter)national biomass forums and industry events.

Your Profile

  • Commercial business and relationship skills.
  • Confident communicator and the ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
  • Affinity with physical and financial commodity transactions.
  • Analytical and financial experience with financial statements, credit ratings, risk metrics.
  • Planning and organizing skills, including effective prioritizing, resource management, and a long-term strategic focus.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in the field of biomass and/or sustainable fuels and systems.
