At Uniper, we are proactively transforming the world of energy while ensuring security of energy supply. Our Biomass Sourcing and Trading team in Düsseldorf is looking for a highly skilled professional to join our diverse and dynamic team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Implement current and future European and country-specific sustainability legislation into biomass sourcing and trading projects and portfolios with a commercial view.
  • Monitor and implement regulations regarding biomass sustainability under European and country-specific laws.
  • Provide strategic and commercial support on biomass sustainability requirements in Uniper's projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to maintain up-to-date guidelines for Uniper's biomass-related projects and activities.
  • Communicate the latest status and expected changes of legislation and regulation to stakeholders.
  • Work with traders, deal execution, and middle office peers to manage certification and supply chain requirements.
  • Represent Uniper in international biomass forums and business events.

Your Profile

  • Over 5 years of experience with regulations, sustainable aspects on a central and local level.
  • Extensive experience with certification systems and processes like FSC, SBP, PEFC, etc.
  • An existing network of RA knowledge consultant and lobbying organizations.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills, influencing skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Planning and organizing skills, including effective prioritizing, resource management, and a long-term strategic focus.
