International Biomass Development Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomass Origination and Trading Professional to join our team at Uniper. As a key member of our Biomass International team, you will be responsible for originating and developing international biomass sourcing and trading opportunities for our customers and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sourcing and trading partnerships to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain a strong global network of biomass suppliers, consumers, freight and logistics partners, and service providers.
  • Provide strategic, analytical, and commercial support to our projects and partnerships, including market research, risk assessment, and deal negotiation.
  • Formulate and execute a detailed annual international biomass business development plan as part of our overall Uniper biomass strategy.
  • Produce clear reports on market developments, deal and partnership opportunities, price forecasts, and risks.

Requirements

  • Commercial business and relationship skills, with experience in physical and financial commodity transactions.
  • Confident communicator and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
  • Analytical and financial experience with financial statements, credit ratings, risk metrics, and planning and organizing skills.
  • Affinity with sustainable fuels and systems, with experience in the field of biomass preferred.
