Agile Coach Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our team at Active Agile. As an Agile Coach, you will play a key role in organizing and conducting Agile training sessions with partners and customers, as well as creating content for our Active Agile Academy and Coaching services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the continuous Agile improvement process through individual and team coaching
  • Collaborate with the Agile chapter, comprising several Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters
  • Support the decision-making process regarding the use of Agile methods (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking, Lean Startup) in teams and their implementation
  • Ensure Agile process compliance and remove obstacles in the implementation of Agile methods
  • Prepare and organize regular meetings, including sprints, reviews, retrospectives, and reports
  • Promote Agile mindset development at the team level through team coaching and conflict resolution support
  • Conduct Agile training sessions for newly assembled teams and clients
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in multiple Agile projects
  • Expertise in Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking, and scaled frameworks like SAFe and LeSS
  • Strong understanding of the Agile Manifesto and Agile values
  • Knowledge of Management 3.0 concepts
  • Successful experience leading teams and projects through Agile and Lean transitions
  • Coaching, training, and moderation experience is a plus
  • Ability to make impediments transparent and help remove them as a Servant Leader
  • Excellent communication, group dynamics, and coaching skills
  • Empathy, persuasiveness, and a curious mindset
  • Initiative and hands-on mentality
  • Good communication skills and software development knowledge
  • Fluent English and German language skills
