Senior Payroll Specialist

At Wolt, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way people order food in restaurants. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you'll be part of our dynamic team in Berlin, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes in Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review payroll data, ensuring compliance with labor laws, company regulations, and tax requirements.
- Process registrations, certifications, and communications with health insurance providers, social security agencies, and tax offices.
- Analyze test payrolls to guarantee accurate and timely payments to our employees.
- Handle special topics such as garnishments, parental leave, and KuG.
- Continuously optimize and improve internal processes.
- Support payroll tax and social security audits and applications.
- Prepare statistics, evaluations, and year-end reports.
- Collaborate with our finance department on account clearing and claims management.
Requirements
- Completed commercial training, preferably with additional qualifications in payroll accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax and social security law.
- Excellent Excel skills, including proficiency in SVerweis and Pivot.
- Fluent German and good English skills (at least C1 in German and B1 in English).
- Familiarity with payroll accounting programs such as Datev LODAS and personnel systems.
- Experience with ADP Celergo is a plus.
- High level of service orientation, structured work approach, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate via digital tools.
- Eligibility to work in the EU.
