Senior Payroll Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll team at ADVA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll accounting for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accounting for employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including tax, health, and social security laws
- Provide advice on special payroll topics and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and implement process improvements
- Coordinate and monitor payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll-related financial accounts
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform internal audits and external audits by regulatory bodies, such as tax authorities and social security institutions
- Support various projects, including the implementation of new payroll systems and processes
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or further training in payroll accounting
- Several years of experience in a comparable role, preferably in an international corporate environment
- Experience with payroll platforms, such as DATEV or ADP
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll topics to various stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Office and other IT applications
- Fluent in English and German
