Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Executive Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts in the DACH and Nordic regions. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the Executive Director of Sales will play a crucial role in driving new business growth, expanding market share, and leading a growing team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Sales Plans

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets in the DACH and Nordic regions, leveraging our expertise in payment solutions and customer-centric approach.

Lead and Manage a High-Performing Sales Team

Lead and manage a team of 20+ sales and account management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture that drives results and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

Drive New Business Acquisition

Drive new business acquisition, focusing on selling our payment gateway and acquiring suite, including BNPL solutions, to small to medium-sized businesses in the DACH and Nordic regions.

Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through our customer-centric approach and exceptional service.

Stay Ahead of Industry Trends

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.

Represent the Company

Represent PaymentGenes at industry events and conferences, enhancing our brand visibility and market presence in the DACH and Nordic regions.

Requirements
  • ~+7 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the payments industry or SaaS.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Familiarity with the DACH and Nordic markets is highly desirable.
  • An existing network in E-commerce is a big plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
