PhD Researcher: Inflammatory Response Screening Platform Development

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology, Branch Bioanalytics and Bioprocesses. The successful candidate will work on the development of a platform technology for screening inflammatory responses.
The project involves the analysis of cell-based inflammatory pathways after drug administration and the transfer of these pathways to a cell-free system. The candidate will work on the establishment of cell-based inflammatory pathways in model cell lines, characterization of standard eukaryotic cell-free systems for inflammatory pathways, and the development of new modified eukaryotic cell-free systems.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on an innovative research project in application-related research, with access to modern laboratory and equipment technology. The working environment is motivating and collegial, with a focus on developing key technologies for the future.
The contractually regulated working time is 50% of a full-time position, allowing for the remaining time to be dedicated to the PhD project. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a Master's degree in immunology, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a similar scientific field, with prior work in the field of immunology and knowledge in molecular and biochemical methods.
The candidate should have experiences in cell culture methods, working independently and in a team, and be able to use protein detection methods such as Western blotting and ELISA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an interesting research project, with a motivating and collegial working atmosphere, and access to modern laboratory and equipment technology.
