The Role

We are seeking a Sales and Growth Manager to lead the adoption of Nickel in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for launching, developing, and animating the network of points of sale across the German territory. Our goal is to open 5,000 POS within the next 5 years.

The Sales and Growth Manager will report directly to the CEO of Nickel Germany and be an active member of the German Management Committee. The position requires travel across Germany.

Nickel's points of sale are mainly Lotto Toto shops in Germany, registered as payment agents. We have already identified key strategy distribution partners in Germany, such as ILO Profit, to introduce us to a large number of POS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute the distribution strategy for Nickel Germany;
  • Recruit, train, and manage a sales team of 10 Sales Representatives;
  • Manage the relationship with our distribution partners;
  • Find new distribution partners and key accounts;
  • Develop the Nickel network in Germany by prospecting new POS;
  • Train and launch the POS;
  • Perform regular visits to the POS;
  • Define and control key sales indicators;
  • Implement an efficient team organization;
  • Set and administer an annual sales and distribution budget;
  • Present regular results and outlook to Top Management;
  • Be the link between the sales team and the operation team.

The Sales and Growth Manager will work closely with central teams in France, who will provide necessary support.

To ensure the sustainability of Nickel, the Sales and Growth Manager will:

  • Prevent risks associated with their activities, particularly Anti-Money Laundering risks;
  • Ensure the proper optimization of resources mobilized.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sales and Distribution Manager/Director or other managerial position;
  • Experience in developing and managing retail networks, with direct contact with German stakeholders such as local shops, associations, and organizations;
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following sectors: Lotto, Pre-paid products, Tobacco, Financial Services, Beverage, or other products sold at retail level;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, overseeing the sales and distribution department and guiding its day-to-day operations;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
  • Ability to present, convince, and federate;
  • Fluent in German and English.
