Procurement Specialist for Investments and Services

Job Overview:

As a Procurement Specialist for Investments and Services at aam it GmbH, you will play a crucial role in managing assigned product categories, collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize supplier portfolios and category strategies, and preparing and tendering procurement projects. Your expertise will be essential in conducting supplier selection through bid comparisons, negotiating contracts and purchases, tracking orders, and managing commercial claims and risks. Additionally, you will hold regular supplier meetings, evaluate suppliers based on technical, quality, and economic aspects, and contribute to procurement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned product categories to ensure optimal procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize supplier portfolios and category strategies
  • Prepare and tender procurement projects to meet business needs
  • Conduct supplier selection through bid comparisons to ensure best value
  • Negotiate contracts and purchases to secure favorable terms
  • Track orders and manage commercial claims and risks to minimize losses
  • Hold regular supplier meetings to maintain strong relationships
  • Evaluate suppliers based on technical, quality, and economic aspects to ensure compliance
  • Contribute to procurement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Support special projects in procurement, such as process optimizations and digitalization initiatives

Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • Contract management experience
  • Passion for improving processes
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Proactive and goal-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
