Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Go Backend Developer to join our Core & Integrations Team in the Demand Solutions Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication with our frontend, and collaborating with our Data Science team to optimize our ML algorithms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of our backend written in Go, maintaining our microservice architecture, and utilizing event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis for reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
  • Work in a community of developers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to peer code reviews.
  • Support partners by providing raw or aggregated data based on their business needs, promoting data transparency, and well-documented open APIs.
  • Collaborate with our Data Science team to solve complex math problems, integrating their solutions into our application, and optimizing our ML algorithms for delivering the right ads to the right users.
  • Be responsible for collecting billions of daily API events, aggregating them in our Kafka and Kinesis streams, and querying them from the data lake in seconds.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • 5+ years of experience building web applications in Go.
  • Proficiency in working with key-value databases (Redis, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Scylla) and optimizing their use for high-volume traffic.
  • Experience profiling Go applications, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing code.
  • Experience working on large Go applications with considerable traffic (>100e6 requests per day).
  • Open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany.
  • Plus: Experience working with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and serverless infrastructure.
