About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at dean&david. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our commitment to healthy, fresh, and sustainable food options
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations
  • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to minimize waste and optimize costs
  • Collaborate with our purchasing team to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of ingredients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of fresh produce
  • Implement and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses to ensure profitability
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head of Culinary Operations in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations and procedures
  • Ability to develop and implement menus that meet the needs of a diverse customer base
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize kitchen operations and minimize waste
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives
