This position is part of the Avionics and Systems Architecture department within the Design Office Directorate. As an Avionics Systems Architect, you will work in a transnational team, collaborating with other Architects and stakeholders from various departments, including Avionics, Vehicle, Projects, Safety, Certification, and Customers Support.

Airbus Helicopters' Donauwörth site is a state-of-the-art facility where we design and develop helicopters from concept to delivery. Our on-site test airfield allows us to test and validate our products in a controlled environment.

Your Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze stakeholders' needs from various departments and external sources
- Define operational concepts and use cases for the overall avionics system
- Perform functional analysis and define functional architecture, including functional flows
- Specify all requirements, including functional and non-functional ones, allocated to the avionics system
- Validate and cascade the overall set of avionics requirements to avionics functions
- Define all avionics external interfaces
- Propose the most effective avionics design, considering constraints and influencing criteria, such as safety, availability, cost, weight, volume, re-use, family concept, and industrial strategy
- Lead Filter Boards at the avionics level for problem reports
- Ensure overall verification activities at the avionics level
- Prepare technical substantiation materials for Qualification/Certification at the avionics level
- Lead the flight clearance activity
- Interface with other helicopter systems and ground segment/open world
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field
- Profound practical experience in similar operational domains
- Knowledge of tools such as Doors, Visio, Reqtify, Mantis, Nectar, Windchill, Cameo, and 3D Experience (TRA/TRM/EEW/RGD) is a plus
- Team Spirit, customer orientation, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Ability to work in complex environments and manage priorities/urgencies
- English language proficiency at negotiation level; French/German language skills are beneficial
