Job Title: Avionics Systems Architect

At Airbus Helicopters, we are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Architect to join our team in the Avionics and Systems Architecture department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing avionics systems for our helicopters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder needs from various departments, including projects, marketing, support, and customers.
  • Define operational concepts and use cases for the overall avionics system.
  • Perform functional analysis and define functional architecture, including functional flows.
  • Specify all requirements, including functional and non-functional ones, allocated to the avionics system.
  • Validate and cascade the overall set of avionics requirements to avionics functions.
  • Define all avionics external interfaces.
  • Propose the most effective avionics design, resulting from trade-offs, based on constraints and influencing criteria.
  • Lead Filter Boards at the avionics level for problem reports.
  • Ensure overall verification activities at the avionics level.
  • Prepare technical substantiation materials for Qualification/Certification at the avionic level.
  • Lead the flight clearance activity.
  • Perform interface with other helicopter systems and ground segment/open world.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Profound practical experience in similar operational domains.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Doors, Visio, Reqtify, Mantis, Nectar, Windchill, Cameo, and 3D Experience (TRA/TRM/EEW/RGD) is a plus.
  • Team Spirit, customer orientation, and a "welcome problems attitude" are essential.
  • Able to work in complex environments and manage priorities/urgencies effectively.
  • English: negotiation level; French/German is beneficial.
