Cell and Gene Therapies Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our Cell and Gene Therapies team at Marken. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support for the movement of Cell and Gene shipments through our network and that of our parent company, UPS.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Cell and Gene Operations Lead to ensure seamless execution of daily operations and shipment coordination.
- Utilize technology to monitor, manage, and control shipments, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
- Coordinate with LSPs, Branches, and Depots to arrange and dispatch shipment solutions, adhering to client expectations and GDP requirements.
- Prepare and arrange packaging, equipment, and trained operatives according to Cell and Gene project specifications.
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for collections and deliveries, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
- Work with the regulatory team to ensure trade compliance for all Import and Export shipments.
- Book shipments with Airlines and Integrators to ensure best routing solutions for Cell and Gene shipments.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of Cell and Gene shipments with Airlines and Ground handling facilities.
- Label and prepare shipments for Export, ensuring timely dispatch and communication with drivers.
- Ensure Marken's Maestro system performance compliance with all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones for Cell and Gene shipments.
- Send pre-alerts to Marken branches and local service providers, confirming receipt and shipment instructions.
- Pre- and post-flight shipment checks, communicating with Airlines and handling agents in case of delays or off-loads.
- Escalate any issues or delays to the Cell and Gene Management Team.
Requirements:
- PC/System literate
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to adapt and deal with enquiries and day-to-day issues
- Strong professional telephone manner
- Eye for detail
- Able to think on their feet
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to liaise with other departments
- Experience in the courier or freight industry
- Temperature controlled shipping
- Security Level D
- Previous experience in Exports, Import, and Transport within an office environment
- Previous experience within Pharmaceutical Logistics
