Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our Solar Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing utility scale solar projects at a preliminary or detailed level, using industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design utility scale solar projects using industry-standard software
  • Define technical parameters and specifications for main components and ensure compliance with industry codes
  • Review technical drawings prepared by the design team and external providers
  • Provide expertise during project implementation, both remotely and on site
  • Work with design software such as PVSyst, AutoCad, PVcase, CYMCAP, etc.
  • Select and size electrical components (cables, transformers, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, ideally with German and additional languages an asset
  • Experience in solar construction processes (site manager or technical auditor) an asset
  • Severely disabled applicants will be given special consideration if equally qualified
