Solar Design Engineer - ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer to join our team at ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA. As a Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing utility-scale solar projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design utility-scale solar projects using industry-standard software
  • Define technical parameters and specifications for main components and ensure compliance with industry codes
  • Review technical drawings prepared by the design team and external providers
  • Provide expertise during project implementation, both remotely and on-site
  • Work with design software such as PVSyst, AutoCad, PVcase, CYMCAP, etc.
  • Select and size electrical components (cables, transformers, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English, with German language skills an asset
  • Experience in solar construction processes (site manager or technical auditor) an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment with people from different nations
  • Passion for designing high-quality PV projects
