Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Vice President of Wafer Fabrication Operations. In this strategic role, you will oversee all aspects of wafer fabrication operations, both in-house and at foundries on a global scale. Your primary focus will be to ensure that wafer production processes, support systems, and equipment operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a diverse manufacturing team, including process engineers, equipment engineers, tool operators, and maintenance technicians.
  • Define operational goals and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, yield, and overall productivity.
  • Develop and manage operational plans, budgets, and policies to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Foster relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers to support wafer fabrication operations.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, universities, and research institutions to stay abreast of technological advancements and talent acquisition.
  • Implement a culture of continuous improvement within the fabrication team.
  • Manage external foundries to ensure they meet the same performance metrics as internal operations.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in material science, chemistry, physics, or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of management experience in wafer fabrication, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing new fabrication facilities is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and methodologies, including 8D, OCAPs, SPC, and automation systems.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and cultivate a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for semiconductor technology and operations.
