Vishay Siliconix, a prominent name in the electronics industry, is on the lookout for a Vice President of Wafer Fab Operations. This role is pivotal in steering our in-house and foundry wafer fabrication operations on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of wafer production, ensuring optimal efficiency in processes, support systems, and equipment.
- Drive continuous enhancements in fab operations, focusing on uptime, production cycle times, yield, and overall productivity.
- Lead a diverse manufacturing team, including process and equipment engineers, tool operators, and maintenance technicians.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering managers to define goals and resolve operational challenges.
- Formulate operational plans, budgets, and policies to streamline production processes.
- Foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance within the production environment.
What You Will Contribute:
- Actively support both strategic and tactical initiatives that align with business development and operational objectives.
- Manage relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the seamless supply of tools, materials, and chemicals.
- Interface with academic institutions and industry leaders to stay abreast of technological advancements and nurture talent pipelines.
- Implement continuous operational improvement strategies within the Fab Operations team.
- Ensure that foundry operations meet the same key performance indicators as internal manufacturing.
Your Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in material science, chemistry, physics, or electrical engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of management experience in wafer fabrication, with at least 10 years in a Front End Factory environment.
- Proven experience in establishing new fabrication facilities from the ground up is a significant advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of 8D, OCAPs, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with SPC, FDC, and automation systems, with a strategic approach to optimizing wafer management and costs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and cultivate a collaborative team environment.
