About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Sustainability Manager. This is a key role that will play a critical part in supporting our business strategy and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the business decision-making process on strategic initiatives that impact our long-term sustainability goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our sustainable development strategy, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our products and services portfolio, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Support the Innovation and Technology team in their decision-making process to drive sustainability impact.
  • Coordinate the governance process for sustainability, including long-term goal follow-up and strategic review.
  • Work with the Institutional Relationship team to develop and implement our advocacy strategy in partnership with sustainability associations.
  • Engage with external working groups to address the impacts of chemicals and plastics on sustainable development.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and communication, including investors and the value chain.
  • Develop and implement knowledge sharing and capacity building initiatives to enhance sustainability awareness and results.
  • Coordinate with the Communication team and Investor Relationship team to ensure effective stakeholder communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as chemical, environmental, or material engineering.
  • Strong experience in sustainable development, with a focus on business engagement in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with science-based tools, such as LCA, DfE, and Sustainable Portfolio Management.
  • Experience leading teams and projects, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and summarize complex data.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in different time zones.
  • Language proficiency in English, with Portuguese and Spanish beneficial.
  • Experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry highly beneficial.
