Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Trade Management Director to lead our Intra Europe Trade operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a pricing strategy, working closely with the Cargo Control team to maximize vessel utilization and optimize the cargo mix.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a pricing strategy to grow the Intra Europe Trade business
- Lead a team of trade professionals to oversee two relations within the IRT Europe trade
- Manage the bottom-line result of the Trade, including the result of Ship Systems within IRT Europe scope
- Optimize the European Shuttle and feeder network
- Develop Ship Systems with Networks and Partnerships to strategically increase market share, improve quality, reduce costs, and differentiate from competitors
- Budgeting of volume and freight rate, as well as close monitoring and analysis of deviations
- Involvement and leadership in internal projects and studies
- Strong shipping background with experience in Trade Management or a commercial role
- Verifiable leadership abilities to inspire and manage a team
- Self-driven with initiative and great engagement, a "can do" mindset to identify market opportunities
- Strong Communicator with story-telling skills
- Strong negotiator with a pragmatic approach
- Systematic, goal-oriented approach to work and strong analytic capabilities
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems like QlikView/-Sense, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English (business proficiency), another language as a plus
