Director of Trade Management - Intra Europe

The Intra Europe Trade is a dynamic market with a significant volume of approximately 8 million TEUs. We aim to grow on this Trade by fully utilizing our existing network and complementing it with dedicated services.

We manage all new Shuttle services in the GEMINI network throughout North and South Europe, which is an important element of our future product offering and will play a crucial role in our success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team overseeing two relations within the IRT Europe trade
  • In charge of the bottom-line result of the Trade, including the result of Ship Systems within IRT Europe scope
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring a pricing strategy to maximize vessel utilization and optimize the cargo mix
  • Optimizing the European Shuttle and feeder network
  • Developing Ship Systems with Networks and Partnerships to increase market share, improve quality, reduce costs, and differentiate from competitors
  • Budgeting of volume and freight rate, as well as close monitoring and analysis of deviations
  • Involvement and leadership in internal projects and studies

Your Profile:

  • Strong shipping background with experience in Trade Management or a commercial role
  • Verifiable leadership abilities to inspire and manage a team
  • Self-driven with initiative and great engagement, a "can do" mindset to identify market opportunities
  • Strong Communicator with story-telling skills
  • Strong negotiator with a pragmatic approach
  • Systematic, goal-oriented approach to work and strong analytic capabilities
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems like QlikView/-Sense, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English (business proficiency), another language as a plus
