EMEA Trade Compliance Specialist

About the Role

This is a 15-month temporary position that requires a strong understanding of trade compliance, customs regulations, and export control. The successful candidate will ensure overall trade compliance for EU/UK and report directly to the Director of Global Trade Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure trade compliance for customs, export control, and supply chain security in assigned regions.
  • Provide daily support for customs operations and implement new customs laws and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, control, and support internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding trade compliance matters.
  • Monitor AEO compliance and participate in cross-functional projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role, depending on educational credentials.
  • Good understanding of international trade and supply chain management.
  • Proficient knowledge of export control, import and export regulations, and EU/UK customs compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on financial and operational issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent business-level German and English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good MS Office knowledge.
