About the Role
As a key member of the European Central Bank's leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of all activities related to on-site inspections and internal model investigations. You will report to the Chair of the Supervisory Board and work closely with the Deputy Director General to achieve the Directorate General's strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overall strategy, conduct medium-term planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure the effective execution of the Directorate General's work programme.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes trust, creativity, and innovation among colleagues.
- Identify and address key risks that require supervisory attention by engaging with the ECB's senior management team and fostering collaboration across business areas.
- Ensure effective communication and cooperation among the Directorate General's seven divisions, horizontal functions, and business areas.
- Represent the Directorate General and the ECB in internal and external meetings, maintaining excellent collaborative contacts within European banking supervision and other relevant international and European organisations.
Qualifications and Experience
- A master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- At least eight years of leadership experience, including three years of experience leading a large, key function in a relevant area.
- Experience in a relevant area of financial services, such as banking supervision, financial risk oversight, financial stability assessment, or risk management.
- A proven track record of building strong relationships and successful partnerships with stakeholders.
- An advanced command of English and an intermediate command of at least one other official language of the EU.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Experience inspiring teamwork at an organisational level.
- Experience in banking supervision in the context of the Single Supervisory Mechanism.
