Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Procurement Manager to lead commercial projects for large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites and power plants across Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for contract and claim management, including setting up commercial specifications, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts. The role requires strong capabilities as a purchaser in challenging and complex working situations, with a solid commercial background and profound knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial project lead for large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites and power plants across Europe
  • Contract and claim management, including setting up commercial specifications, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts
  • Dealing with standardized international supply contracts and national laws
  • Process link between the project and E.ON's central procurement department
  • Ongoing controlling and reporting of project budgets and continuous risk management
  • Pre-qualification of suppliers and service providers to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
Requirements
  • University degree or similar with solid commercial background and profound knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures
  • Several years of experience in commercial project and contract management for process plant construction, energy industry, or related sectors
  • Strong capabilities as a purchaser in challenging and complex working situations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Team-oriented and confident approach to negotiations and communication with suppliers and service providers
  • Ability to enter technical, process engineering areas and specifications as well as legal topics and contract law
  • Written and spoken English and German fluency is essential (at least B2 level); knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • User knowledge of SAP BI and SAP Materials Management as well as very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
