About this Challenge:

As a Key Account Manager at IAV, you will be responsible for driving business growth in the European automotive market. Your primary objective will be to identify and acquire new customers, strategically positioning our services and building new relationships. You will also be responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships through cross-selling and upselling.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for acquiring new customer projects and managing and maintaining existing accounts in Europe.
  • You will be the central point of contact for decision-makers and stakeholders at our customers, working to understand their strategies and goals.
  • You will improve our positioning and increase the attractiveness of our services in new business areas and existing customer relationships.
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong, trusting relationship with our customers.
  • You will develop a sales and development strategy for our customers, evaluating its effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
  • You will identify, coordinate, and communicate key sales opportunities.
  • You will manage bids and commercial negotiations, coordinating offers and approvals in line with our customer strategy and market capabilities.
  • You will analyze customer satisfaction data and develop follow-up measures.
  • You will conduct market and competitor analysis, as well as maintain our acquisition tool.

Requirements:

  • You will have a successful engineering or business degree and relevant experience in the automotive or supplier industry.
  • You will have proven sales experience, strong organizational skills, and good business knowledge, as well as experience in service sales.
  • You will have experience working with customers at various levels.
  • You will be willing to take on revenue responsibility for assigned customers.
  • You will have a strong, persuasive personality, as well as team skills and a willingness to cooperate.
  • You will have very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
  • You will be willing to travel within Europe.

Desirable Skills:

  • You will have knowledge of contract design for service offerings and creating complex offers, as well as experience in negotiations for services and large projects in the automotive and supplier industry.
  • You will have strategic thinking, combined with a strong desire to implement.
