About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Excellence Manager to join our team at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our global R&D Breeding Stations network, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute Lean Management and Six Sigma improvement projects to enhance organizational performance.
  • Identify improvement opportunities across various internal customer groups and prioritize and derive optimization measures using state-of-the-art process improvement tools.
  • Ensure alignment with the overall R&D process landscape.
  • Support the function to adapt the active usage of process life-cycle management from discovery, mapping, performance management and operations, standardization, improvement, automation, and digitalization.
  • Develop compelling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for global administrative functions and ensure effective process management through data-driven metrics.
  • Implement internal controls to manage risks and safeguard global business continuity within the organization.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering, economics, or related fields.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in an Operational or Transactional function.
  • Applied expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
  • Proficiency in dealing with difficult situations (demonstrated change and conflict management skills).
  • Capability to lead improvement projects and support Lean Management/Six Sigma initiatives.
  • LEAN SIX SIGMA certification (green belt or higher).
  • Proven experience with Value Stream Mapping and other Lean Management/Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Execution of Kaizen workshops/events.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Management and Continuous Improvement using common methods.
  • Professional experience with discovering, modeling, and implementing Business Process Management (BPM) and Workflow Management systems (BPMN, Signavio).
  • Fluent in English and one other language (German is advantageous).
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented mentality combined with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Strategic thinking and a general management standpoint.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
