Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team at Wolt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our aged receivables, ensuring timely and diligent collection of payments, and providing regular analysis of customer payment behavior.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the overall aged receivables management process, ensuring efficient and effective collection of payments.
- Prepare and post bad debt expense and bad debt provisions on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Regularly analyze customer payment behavior, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Own and perform monthly reporting activities, including AR reconciliation and documentation processes, overdue reporting, and other Month End reporting requirements.
- Oversee cash application activities, resolving related escalated matters, and improving the Credit risk management process for trade receivables.
- Collaborate with local finance teams to harmonize Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Work closely with sales teams, leading bi-monthly operational reviews with stakeholders, and supporting specialists in handling complex escalated cases.
- Escalate debt to collection agencies, continuously seeking improvement of current processes, and performing system & process testing in case of development.
- Prepare and update training materials, systematic documentation of processes, and work instructions, onboarding new team members.
- Support Team Lead with analyzing KPIs for management reporting and supporting with audit-related inquiries/documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economics or other financial degree.
- Long-standing practical experience on AR process & accounting.
- Solid experience in Credit control/credit risk management.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Prior knowledge on Netsuite accounting software is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience in autonomously solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn new ways of working and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Other languages are an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in the E.U.
