The Sachsen Center for Digital Health is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research in the realm of digital medicine and healthcare. This initiative, supported by a prominent foundation, collaborates closely with various high-tech experts in the research landscape and aims to enhance partnerships with medical institutions.

We are currently seeking two

Digital Health Researchers/PhD Candidates (f/m/x)

- specializing in Digital Health and Medical Device Development -

This is a full-time position, initially set for a duration of 24 months, with the potential for extended collaboration. Compensation will align with standard public service salary scales and will be commensurate with experience.

As a Digital Health Researcher at our center, you will engage in the CYMEDSEC and PATH research initiatives, working alongside leading industry and academic collaborators across the region and beyond. In partnership with our team and external stakeholders, you will investigate contemporary methods for assessing the ethical ramifications of data sharing and stakeholder perspectives on cybersecurity in medical devices. You will also innovate and develop strategies for regulatory approval of digital health technologies, emphasizing cybersecurity and ethical considerations, while contributing to scholarly articles aimed at prestigious journals.

Your qualifications:

  • A degree in life sciences, medicine, psychology, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • A proactive mindset with a strong drive for achievement
  • An interest in ethical issues and experience in conducting stakeholder interviews, as well as collaborating with partners on qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • Previous research experience (e.g., publications as first or co-author) or a strong eagerness to learn
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary
  • Familiarity with basic statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) is advantageous
