Role Overview

  • Develop and implement Human Resource strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness, ensuring high-quality HR services align with our operational model.
  • Provide support to management and staff on various employee relations issues, including labor agreements, grievance procedures, and negotiations.
  • Oversee interactions with the European works council on matters such as organizational changes and policy updates.
  • Collaborate with local works councils in Germany and Austria to facilitate timely execution of initiatives.
  • Ensure that employee relations guidance is consistent, timely, and in compliance with relevant laws and company policies. Conduct investigations and resolve issues effectively.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in employee relations, engaging with senior management on complex cases and contributing to strategic HR projects.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies and practices, fostering a supportive environment for addressing workplace challenges.
  • Gain insights into business challenges to align HR initiatives with organizational goals, building strong partnerships across the company.
  • Assist in workforce planning by providing market-level data and insights to HR teams and management.
  • Promote skill development among managers in executing HR programs, enhancing their capabilities in coaching and performance management.
  • Drive the implementation of HR service delivery models, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare the annual Labor Plan, including headcount and remuneration forecasts, and collaborate with Finance on budget tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and manage requests from local authorities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of payroll, benefits, and labor laws, addressing complex inquiries and overseeing benefits administration.
  • Manage payroll operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Document all HR actions accurately and ensure timely updates in HR systems.
  • Foster a safe and healthy work environment, addressing legal requirements and potential risks.
  • Lead delegated projects with strategic input and recommendations, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Manage budget and vendor relationships to optimize resource utilization.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a qualification in Human Resource Management is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or Employee Relations.
  • Stay informed about the latest legislation and its practical applications.

Leadership and Competencies

  • Demonstrate positive leadership in a high-pressure, target-oriented environment.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing all management levels.
  • Possess excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.

Job-Specific Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of employment law.
  • Proven managerial experience focused on relationship and change management.
  • Experience in coaching and guiding management in HR practices.
  • Familiarity with HR services, HRIS systems, and related processes.
  • Ability to resolve issues through thorough information gathering and sound judgment.
  • Strong project management skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Proficient in PC applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of HR systems is advantageous.
