Position Overview

As the HR Manager for Germany, you will play a crucial role in enhancing organizational effectiveness through strategic Human Resource initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring high-quality HR services.
  • Advising managers and employees on various employee relations issues, including labor agreements and grievance procedures.
  • Overseeing interactions with the European works council on matters such as policy changes and organizational restructuring.
  • Collaborating with local works councils in Germany and Austria to facilitate smooth implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Providing timely and accurate employee relations guidance, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issues.
  • Delivering expert advice on HR policies and practices, serving as a bridge between management and staff.
  • Understanding business challenges to align HR actions with organizational needs.
  • Assisting in workforce planning by gathering market data and providing insights to HR leadership.
  • Promoting managerial development through training on HR programs and best practices.
  • Driving the implementation of HR service delivery models and recommending process improvements.
  • Preparing annual labor plans and collaborating with finance on budget tracking.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and handling inquiries from local authorities.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and payroll processes.
  • Managing payroll operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Documenting all HR actions in a timely manner within HR systems.
  • Creating a safe and healthy work environment while addressing legal requirements.
  • Leading delegated projects with strategic input and recommendations.
  • Managing vendor relationships and budgetary considerations effectively.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a qualification in Human Resource Management is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or Employee Relations.
  • Familiarity with current legislation and its practical application is essential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with knowledge of HR data systems being an advantage.
