Role Overview
- Develop and implement Human Resource strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness, ensuring high-quality HR services aligned with our delivery model.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of Employee Relations issues, including the interpretation of labor agreements and grievance procedures.
- Cultivate relationships with the European works council regarding organizational changes, policy updates, and hybrid work arrangements.
- Collaborate with local works councils in Germany and Austria to facilitate timely execution of initiatives.
- Ensure that Employee Relations guidance is accurate and compliant with relevant laws and company policies, conducting investigations as necessary.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Employee Relations, engaging with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence on complex cases and strategic initiatives.
- Offer counsel to management and staff on HR policies, performance management, and diversity initiatives, serving as a mediator to resolve workplace issues.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of business challenges to align HR objectives with organizational needs, fostering effective partnerships.
- Assist the VP of HR Europe in workforce planning by providing market-level data and insights.
- Lead training initiatives for managers to enhance their skills in coaching and performance management.
- Drive the implementation of the HR Service Delivery Model, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare the annual Labor Plan, including headcount and remuneration forecasts, and collaborate with Finance on budget tracking.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and manage inquiries from local authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, assisting with enrollment and addressing complex inquiries.
- Oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy and compliance in service delivery.
- Document all HR actions accurately and ensure they are reflected in HR systems.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment, addressing legal requirements and potential risks.
- Manage projects effectively, providing insights and recommendations based on business acumen.
- Oversee budget management and vendor relationships to optimize resource utilization.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a qualification in Human Resource Management is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or Employee Relations.
- Must be knowledgeable about current legislation and its practical applications.
Leadership Qualities and Competencies
- Demonstrates positive leadership in high-pressure, target-driven environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence management at all levels.
- Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
