About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Director to lead our large-scale IT projects in a complex environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, steering, and coordinating IT projects with cross-functional content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation, and coordination to ensure successful project delivery.
- Represent IT interests in project meetings and steering committees at departmental and divisional levels.
- Manage project resources, stakeholders, and risks to ensure project goals are met within budget, time, and quality constraints.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks, and provide strategic direction within the project framework.
- Coordinate activities of other teams, including leading project team members and project coordinators.
- Contribute to the development of strategic solutions and cross-functional solutions, taking into account current company guidelines and processes.
- Contribute to the development of project governance, project management methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a responsible project leader with projects exceeding €2m in budget, 2 years in duration, and 2,000 person-days per annum.
- Proven experience in IT (regulated environment) in a wholesale bank with extensive process requirements and experience with regulatory requirements.
- Experience in negotiating and managing contracts (cost-based, works contracts, outsourcing).
- Ability to analyze complex situations and derive necessary actions or requirements.
- High reliability and self-initiative, as well as a willingness to drive topics forward with others.
- Openness to new things and motivation to further develop the environment.
