ADM is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to spearhead our animal nutrition initiatives across the DACH region. This pivotal position is designed to not only sustain but also to significantly enhance our market presence by leveraging a comprehensive range of products, including Feed Additives and ingredients, as well as Premix solutions. The role will primarily operate from our German office and will report directly to the VP Sales Europe based in Switzerland.Key Responsibilities:
- Unlock and optimize the potential of our animal nutrition segment in the DACH region.
- Oversee our technical sales efforts in Animal Nutrition, focusing on Key Accounts.
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with customers.
- Identify and pursue new business and partnership opportunities for expansion.
- Gain a thorough understanding of our product portfolio.
- Develop and implement personal sales strategies and budgets aligned with market objectives.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive 3-5 year Business Plan for the region.
- Conduct monthly reporting, sales analytics, and insights; comprehend the go-to-market strategy to enhance sales efficiency.
- Collaborate with product management, application, and product development to create customer concepts.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving consumer behaviors through publications, events, and insights reports to strategically grow the business.
- Support and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies tailored for the region.
- Engage closely with various departments: technical support, customer service/logistics, product management, marketing, and controlling.
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agriculture, Agro Engineering, Veterinary Science, or a related Business field.
- Familiarity with animal nutrition and technical applications is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Animal Nutrition or Feed ingredients sector.
- A strong business development mindset.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and autonomy skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a (virtual) team environment.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and capability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Experience in a matrix organization with a cross-cultural perspective.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
- Proficient in English.
