Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, system administrators, and key stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements and objectives related to server platform deployment in the operational technology (OT) sector.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of the current OT server infrastructure to guide the planning and execution of server platform initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and oversee OT server platform solutions, with a strong focus on VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware vSAN, and on-premise server clusters.
  • Create comprehensive implementation strategies and documentation detailing proposed architectures, configurations, and resource allocations.
  • Offer technical guidance and support throughout project execution, ensuring compliance with design standards, industry best practices, and security protocols within the OT domain.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and challenges associated with OT server projects to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in server platform engineering within enterprise settings, particularly in OT systems, demonstrating strong proficiency in VMware and virtualization technologies, including VMware vSAN, and on-premise server clusters.
  • In-depth knowledge of server virtualization principles, technologies, and best practices, especially with VMware vSphere.
  • Understanding of OT systems and their integration with server platforms.
  • Skilled in configuring and managing server hardware and software components in OT environments.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of successfully executing complex OT server platform projects.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams and engage project stakeholders.
