As a Commissioning Engineer for Power Plants, you will be part of the Hydro Division at Voith Group. Your main tasks will be to lead the commissioning of synchronous and asynchronous generators/motors with voltages above 1KV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protection technology. You will also be responsible for the commissioning of BoP (Balance of Plant) components such as switchgear, block transformers, and power plant-specific equipment, including control and monitoring systems.

Your new tasks

  • Lead the commissioning of synchronous and asynchronous generators/motors with voltages above 1KV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protection technology.
  • Commission BoP (Balance of Plant) components such as switchgear, block transformers, and power plant-specific equipment, including control and monitoring systems.
  • Perform fault analysis, optimization, and reporting during commissioning, as well as monitoring of deadlines and application of quality standards.
  • Hand over work packages, train customer personnel, and provide technical project and engineering support at the Heidenheim site.

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Information Technology, ideally with first-hand experience in commissioning electrical machines/switchgear or control and protection technology. We also give motivated graduates a chance.
  • You have very good knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking. Additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French are desirable.
  • You are willing to travel for longer periods and work on construction sites worldwide.
  • You have a result-oriented, analytical, and team-oriented mindset, as well as loyalty and high commitment. Interpersonal skills are an asset.
