Support the Voith Group, Hydro Division, Commissioning Department

As a Commissioning Engineer for Hydropower Generators, you will be part of the Commissioning Department, supporting the Hydro Division in the commissioning of synchronous and asynchronous generators/motors with rated voltages above 1KV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protective devices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning of synchronous and asynchronous generators/motors with rated voltages above 1KV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protective devices.
  • Responsible for leading/conducting the commissioning of BoP (Balance of Plant) components like switchgear, block transformers, and plant-specific requirements including control and monitoring devices.
  • Fault-finding, optimization, and reporting during commissioning, monitoring schedule adherence, and applying quality standards are also within your scope along with handing over trades, training customer personnel, and providing technical project and engineering support at the Heidenheim site.

Your Profile

  • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Information Engineering with initial experience in commissioning electric machines/switchgear or control and protection systems. We also welcome motivated graduates.
  • Strong proficiency in German and English languages both written and spoken, additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French are desirable.
  • Willingness to undertake extended business trips and assignments to construction sites globally.
  • Result-oriented, analytical, team player, loyal, highly dedicated, and intercultural experience is advantageous.
