Join our team in the Hydro division, Commissioning department, as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer (m|w|d) Hydroelectric Generators in Heidenheim.

As a member of our Commissioning Team, you will be responsible for the commissioning of synchronous and asynchronous generators/motors with rated voltages above 1kV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protection technology.

Your new tasks will include:

  • Leading the commissioning of generators/motors with rated voltages above 1kV, including auxiliary equipment, excitation systems, and protection technology.
  • You will be responsible for the commissioning of BoP (Balance of Plant) components such as switchgear, block transformers, and power plant auxiliary systems, including control and monitoring systems.
  • Fault finding, optimization, and reporting during commissioning will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as monitoring of deadlines and application of quality standards.
  • You will hand over work packages, train customer personnel, and take over technical project and engineering support at the Heidenheim site.

Your Profile

  • You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Information Technology, ideally with first professional experience in commissioning electrical machines/switchgear or control and protection technology. We also offer motivated graduates a chance.
  • You bring very good knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking. Further foreign languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French) are desirable.
  • You are willing to undertake longer business trips and deployments worldwide.
  • Result-oriented, analytical, and team skills, as well as loyalty and high commitment round off your profile. Inter-cultural experience is an asset.
