A Glimpse into Your Daily Responsibilities
Your day typically starts with a focused agenda-setting session, allowing you to prioritize your tasks effectively. You will prepare for initial discussions with colleagues, gearing up for upcoming negotiations with clients. Your role involves integrating the latest updates into your project layouts, always striving for enhancement. During remote work, you will engage with layout contributors through Microsoft Teams, collaborating with a multidisciplinary project team to identify improvements and solutions for your layout concepts. In the afternoons, you may lead customer meetings to present and discuss plant layouts, actively seeking early feedback from clients. Following these discussions, you will participate in internal meetings with the project team to outline the next steps in the design process.
Your Impact on the Organization
- Evaluate customer specifications concerning data modeling and architectural requirements for Project Entity Portfolio Elements (HVDC, Grid Access, FACTS, Hybrid Plants & Generation Power Plants).
- Develop implementation strategies and execute them, including workflows, data exchange processes, and interfaces in collaboration with clients and software specialists.
- Communicate and coordinate these requirements and implementations with stakeholders, including project field heads, domain experts, engineers, and management.
- Foster beneficial collaborations both internally and with suppliers and clients.
- Construct ontologies for various domains, clients, and tools, as well as mapping ontologies based on standards for data connectivity and exchange with external partners.
- Collaborate with standardization authorities to stay informed about new relevant standards.
- Address the precise wording of contractual documents, analyze and comment on contracts, and draft realization concepts.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- A university degree in an engineering discipline combined with data science or applied computer science with a focus on engineering.
- Professional experience in turnkey projects, preferably in the Power and/or other Industrial Plants sectors.
- Leadership and project management capabilities to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with standards such as IFC (Industry Foundation Class), buildingSmart Data Dictionary (bsDD), Information Containers (ISO, ECLASS & IEC Common Data Dictionary, Upper Ontologies (ISO 15926, IEC 61360), Classification (IEC 81346), etc.
- Practical experience in enhancing data architectures, applying design principles and patterns using appropriate modeling tools.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within large interdisciplinary teams or expert networks.
