Job Description

We are seeking a highly committed individual with leadership experience to join our team as Head of Product Data Management in Engineering. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product data management process, ensuring efficient and smooth data management, qualification, and consistency. You will work with internal and external partners, such as manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, and customers, to identify synergy and optimization potentials using Lean and Agile working methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data management processes and tools to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead a team of engineers and data management specialists to ensure effective data management.
  • Represent the interests of stakeholders in engineering and ensure process and method requirements are met.
  • Implement the PLM tool "Team Center" for SMO Rolling Stock Engineering in terms of product data management.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or industrial engineering.
  • Many years of professional experience in engineering or product development.
  • Familiarity with interfaces between IT, development, and production.
  • Knowledge and experience in PLM tools and processes, ideally in "Team Center".
  • Initial experience as a disciplinary manager and ability to inspire and encourage employees.
  • Business fluent in English and ideally in German.
