We are currently seeking a Group Lead for Product & Platform Management to enhance our 'Products & Solutions' department within the Business Unit Traffic at our Wiesbaden headquarters. This role is pivotal in overseeing all hardware products and software platforms that serve as essential components for both standard and customized end-to-end solutions provided by VITRONIC, as well as standalone products marketed directly to end users or through channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the mission to deliver high-performance system components that are optimized for VITRONIC systems, enhancing our solution offerings and expanding our product business with competitive market-ready products.
- Formulate the overarching portfolio strategy, focusing on hardware products and software platforms that align with the Business Unit Traffic's strategic goals.
- Establish strategic objectives for the group and guide the team towards achieving these goals.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of all hardware products and software platforms within the Business Unit Traffic, including market analysis, product visioning, strategic planning, development support, marketing, sales enablement, and product retirement.
- Continuously refine the organizational structure of the group to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within the group's operations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the group, including the management of team members.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to group members, fostering their professional development.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A strong technical and business background, ideally with a degree in engineering complemented by business studies or relevant experience.
- Proven leadership abilities demonstrated through previous roles.
- Extensive experience in product management, including market analysis, business planning, and requirements management.
- Familiarity with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and conceptual skills.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
