We are currently seeking a Group Lead for Product & Platform Management to enhance our 'Products & Solutions' department within the Business Unit Traffic at our Wiesbaden headquarters. This role is crucial for overseeing all hardware products and software platforms that serve as foundational elements for both generic and tailored end-to-end solutions offered by VITRONIC, as well as standalone products available in the open market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of high-performance system components optimized for VITRONIC systems, supporting our solution and product business.
  • Formulate the overarching portfolio strategy for hardware products and software platforms, aligning with the Business Unit Traffic strategy.
  • Establish strategic objectives for the group and define specific goals.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of all hardware products and software platforms within the Business Unit Traffic, including market analysis, product strategy, development support, marketing, and retirement.
  • Continuously refine the organizational structure of the group to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within group operations.
  • Oversee the daily operational activities of the group.
  • Provide leadership and disciplinary management for group members.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A strong educational background in engineering combined with business studies or relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrated through previous roles.
  • Substantial experience in product management, including market analysis and business planning.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
