Regional Business Manager (f/m/d) - Oncology

The Regional Business Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the oncology portfolio, engaging with key regional stakeholders in a comprehensive manner, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, and relevant networks. This position involves identifying potential clients and stakeholders within the oncology sector and fostering relationships to drive business growth. Collaboration with the marketing team is essential to develop and execute strategic initiatives and support projects tailored to various stakeholder groups.

The RBM is responsible for managing and coordinating all cross-functional activities related to oncology clients in their designated area.

The Regional Business Manager maintains ongoing communication with identified customers, utilizing various channels such as personal visits, calls, project work, and educational events to cultivate a holistic partnership with healthcare professionals. This role also includes leading the Medical Customer Manager in their business area, with a focus on customer prescriptions for oncology medications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a knowledgeable contact for oncology physicians and stakeholders, facilitating the effective use of our oncology products.
  • Plan and execute activities aimed at various specialist groups and their support staff within the oncology field.
  • Collaborate with the Market Access department to minimize local market access barriers.
  • Provide scientific guidance to clients regarding the use, effects, composition, and risks associated with monoclonal antibodies and future oncology products.
  • Share insights and experiences with clients about our medications, relaying important information to the back office.
  • Develop and implement interactive formats and projects for all customer groups in close cooperation with cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).
  • Present the latest data and findings related to our products.
  • Expand and nurture existing customer relationships while acquiring new clients.
  • Achieve specific company goals, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Plan and execute events and fulfill administrative responsibilities, including documentation and maintenance of internal customer databases.
  • Analyze and evaluate sales trends based on regional sales data.
  • Create and implement comprehensive business plans.
  • Manage the company's customer data effectively.
  • Oversee budget management and organize regional events, participating in national congresses and events as needed.
  • Conduct proactive competitive monitoring and provide analysis and reports to the Team Lead.
  • Consult and collaborate with back office support as necessary.
  • Actively participate in conferences and projects while adhering to compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing IT systems.


Qualifications

  • Degree in pharmacy, medicine, chemistry, biology, or a related field, or certification as a pharmaceutical representative.
  • Strong connections with oncology clients and stakeholders, including opinion leaders and relevant networks.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • In-depth understanding of stakeholder decision-making processes and market dynamics.
  • Experience in supporting marketing initiatives and managing projects.
  • Professional background in pharmaceutical field service, particularly with biologicals or biosimilars.
  • Exceptional customer orientation and communication skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently while being a team player.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written German and English.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
