About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team at SVA. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Wide-Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to our customers on WAN and SD-WAN solutions
  • Design and configure complex network infrastructures in the WAN environment
  • Implement WAN and SD-WAN solutions, ensuring high network security standards
  • Plan and execute network migrations
  • Install new systems in existing network environments
  • Provide comprehensive support for IT projects, from start to finish
  • Develop and deliver technical workshops and training sessions for customers and internal teams
  • Analyze and troubleshoot network issues
  • Support our sales team with technical expertise
  • Design and implement complex IT solutions based on modern IT architectures
  • Provide technical support and guidance to our existing customers, even after project completion

Requirements

  • Completed IT-related education or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in planning, designing, and implementing technical projects in the WAN environment
  • Expertise in network security, WAN, SD-WAN, and SASE
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE solution configuration (Cisco, VMware, or Aruba)
  • Experience with cloud solutions like SASE or SSE
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, and security best practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical knowledge in workshops and training sessions
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and high problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer and service orientation, flexibility, and teamwork
  • Excellent communication skills with very good German (C1 or higher) and English (B2 or higher) language skills
  • Basic willingness to travel within Germany
