Position Overview:
The role of the Network Administrator is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and security of various network infrastructures, including critical systems. Responsibilities encompass overseeing operations, implementing enhancements, and ensuring robust network security measures are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced Tier III support to resolve complex network issues.
- Utilize expertise in network management tools and services.
- Deliver training and documentation to support teams and departments.
- Engage with vendors for the design and deployment of new network systems.
- Maintain certifications to adapt to evolving operational needs.
- Participate in procurement processes, including initial design and materials creation.
- Be available for shift work as required by operational demands.
Qualifications for Success:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, or higher education with equivalent experience.
- Security Clearance Level Required: DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Required Certifications: CCNA or equivalent industry certification; IAT Level II certification or higher as per DOD M requirements.
- Required Skills and Experience: Proficiency with network management tools, strong problem-solving capabilities, and physical capability for equipment handling.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced certifications such as CCNP, experience with advanced networking concepts, and knowledge in security implementations.
