About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at the Chair of Quantum Optics at the Universität Siegen. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of quantum computing with trapped ions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, simulate, and construct innovative experimental apparatuses for quantum computing
  • Conduct experiments with trapped ions, analyze data, and publish scientific results
  • Guide and mentor other scientists in the team
  • Collaborate with national and international research partners and funding agencies
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Physics
  • Sound knowledge of quantum mechanics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • International publications and participation in academic exchange
  • Experience in experimental quantum optics, quantum information processing, or related fields
  • Very good knowledge of English
