Position Overview

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Germany GmbH is seeking a Sales Training and Development Manager (m/f/d) based in a central location.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee all training and development initiatives to ensure they are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular Training and Learning Needs Analyses (TLNAs) and collaborate with leadership to create training programs that meet business requirements.
  • Formulate and align a global learning strategy by identifying synergies across markets to enhance effectiveness.
  • Design, implement, and assess training programs and leadership development curricula to ensure employee skills align with organizational needs.
  • Create and deliver tailored learning initiatives and training materials that facilitate individual learning and performance achievement.
  • Enhance commercial execution through strategic implementation of skill development programs.
  • Foster collaboration across teams, building relationships with key stakeholders and distributor partners.
  • Manage both internal resources and external vendors to ensure comprehensive program development and execution.
  • Maintain relationships with external consultants and training providers.
  • Stay updated on training and education innovations to keep the organization’s training activities relevant.
  • Implement adaptable learning methodologies to meet market dynamics and exercise independent judgment in selecting evaluation criteria.
  • Oversee the global learning and development budget, collaborating with finance on cost management.
  • Provide ongoing competitive training to the team in partnership with product management.
  • Support training initiatives related to the medical value of technology in collaboration with medical leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science or business
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline or education
  • At least 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, or training
  • Experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical sector
  • Background in multinational companies
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%
  • Proficiency in English and other European languages
  • Strong leadership capabilities and collaborative skills.
