Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Germany GmbH is seeking a Sales Training and Development Manager (m/f/d).

Role Overview

This position reports to the Director of Marketing for the Cardiometabolic Business Unit within the Rapid Diagnostics Division. The incumbent will assess capabilities and formulate targeted training strategies, implementing training programs globally (excluding the US). This role encompasses regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Central America, South America, and Canada. The individual will ensure that Abbott's internal commercial teams and distributor partners receive high-quality training to maintain compliance and effectiveness in their respective markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all training and development initiatives to ensure they are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular Training and Learning Needs Analyses (TLNAs) and collaborate with managers to create and implement training initiatives tailored to business needs.
  • Develop and synchronize international learning strategies, identifying synergies across markets to enhance channel effectiveness.
  • Design, deliver, and assess training programs and leadership development curricula to ensure employee skills and performance meet organizational standards.
  • Create and provide company-specific learning initiatives and training materials that facilitate individual learning and performance achievement.
  • Enhance commercial execution through the implementation of strategies and programs focused on skill development.
  • Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across diverse geographic regions, including distributor partners.
  • Manage internal resources and external vendors to ensure effective program development and implementation.
  • Select and maintain relationships with external consultants and training providers.
  • Stay informed on training and education innovations to keep organizational training activities relevant.
  • Implement adaptable professional learning methodologies to meet market dynamics.
  • Manage the global learning and development budget, collaborating with finance on cost efficiencies.
  • Provide ongoing competitive training to the team in partnership with the product management team.
  • Support training initiatives focused on the medical value of technology in collaboration with the medical director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or business-related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in sales, marketing, or training.
  • Experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Background in multinational companies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Proficiency in English and other European languages.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and collaborative skills.
