Laboratory Technician in Nuclear Medicine (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician in Nuclear Medicine (m/w/d) for the production and quality control at the earliest possible date.

The Nuclear Medicine Clinic is one of the largest nuclear medicine departments in Germany, providing the complete spectrum of nuclear medicine diagnostics and therapy to the university hospital and the entire region. The clinic features a radiopharmaceutical laboratory and several PET and SPECT CTs. The isotope station with 13 beds offers the full range of modern nuclear medicine therapies.

The Radiochemistry department focuses on the development, as well as the GMP-compliant production and quality control of radioactive pharmaceuticals (diagnostics and therapy) for patient application. We are currently establishing a modern and competitive radiopharmacy, with plans for an on-site cyclotron in the near future. We are looking for qualified and highly motivated colleagues who want to be part of the unique development of a competitive radiopharmacy in Europe and who can initially support us in the routine areas of production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals along with general laboratory tasks
  • Incoming inspections of all utilized raw materials and substances
  • Execution and documentation of workflows according to GMP standards
  • Creation and verification of GMP-compliant documentation for production and quality control as well as for quality assurance
  • Assistance in the qualification of devices used in production and quality control
  • Support in the validation of production and analysis methods as well as processes within the framework of quality assurance
Your Profile
  • Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician (m/w/d) or a comparable laboratory technical qualification
  • Willingness and unrestricted suitability for handling open radioactive materials/work in controlled areas
  • Technical understanding, good comprehension skills, and manual dexterity
  • Commitment and a pronounced quality and service orientation
  • Experience in radiation protection, particularly in handling open radioactive materials is desirable, but not a prerequisite
  • Knowledge and experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) are advantageous
  • Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as advanced knowledge of common PC programs
