Job Description
Our analytical team is responsible for producing certified reference materials in the field of environmental and residue analysis. Our operations adhere to the highest quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034, covering a wide range of environmental contaminants, from fertilizers to dyes. As a Lead Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in conducting analyses using gas chromatography (GC) and overseeing equipment responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform purity and content determinations using GC and identity determinations using GC/MS, applying accredited methodologies.
- Diligently document individual projects in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) while ensuring and continuously enhancing safety and quality standards.
- Assume responsibility for equipment and ensure its availability through regular checks and maintenance, while providing independent solutions to equipment issues.
- Plan and execute process-related laboratory tasks such as sample preparation, eluent production, and waste disposal.
- Manage inventory efficiently and handle orders within the ERP system.
Qualifications
Desired Profile
- Completed training as a laboratory technician, chemical-technical assistant, or a comparable qualification in chemistry or analytics.
- Solid knowledge in instrumental analytics, particularly in gas chromatography (GC), with experience in other analytical fields being advantageous.
- Familiarity with the application and adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025) and experience with LIMS and ERP systems.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a structured, meticulous working style.
- Proficient in German (C1) and English.
